Name: Onchocephalites sp. (Sundberg and McCollum, 2003)
Trilobite Order Ptychopariida,
Family Ptychoparioidea
Locality: Currant site, White Pine County, Nevada
Stratigraphy: Middle Cambrian, Emigrant
Formation
Remarks: 7 mm. This is almost certainly the most
perfectly preserved on this newly described genus. It was found in
a locality from where it has not been known before. As a matter of
fact, this whole area has only been superficially studied. This specimen
has 15 segments. O claytonensis as described by Sundberg and McCollum
states it has 11-13 segments. It was found within a thin, soft mud
stone layer found between limestone layers
